MTG.cards is an independent, unofficial tool for creating custom Magic-style cards, casual playtest cards, tokens, cube cards, Commander Rule 0 cards, and custom set projects.

This page collects reviews, examples, screenshots, customer comments, and other proof that helps users understand what MTG.cards does, how the tools work, and what to expect before using the site.

MTG.cards is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or approved by Wizards of the Coast.

What This Page Is For

Custom card tools are easier to trust when users can see how they work.

This page is meant to show:

  • Real examples of MTG.cards projects
  • Screenshots of card-maker and template workflows
  • Customer comments and feedback
  • Common use cases
  • Helpful proof from public sources, where available
  • Notes about what MTG.cards does well
  • Notes about limitations users should understand before designing or printing cards

We do not want this page to feel like a wall of vague praise. The goal is to give users practical evidence they can evaluate for themselves.

What Users Create With MTG.cards

MTG.cards is commonly used for projects such as:

  • Custom Commander Rule 0 cards
  • Tokens and emblems
  • Casual playtest cards
  • Cube cards
  • Custom set concepts
  • Personal card designs
  • Deck-testing cards
  • Card layout experiments
  • Template previews
  • Downloadable card files
  • Print-list preparation

Cards created through MTG.cards should remain clearly unofficial. They should not be represented as authentic Magic cards, official products, tournament-legal cards, or sanctioned-event cards.

Example Projects

Use this section to show real examples once they are available.

Custom Card Design Examples

Add screenshots or images showing completed custom card designs created with MTG.cards.

For each example, include:

  • Project type
  • Template used
  • What the user was trying to create
  • Any helpful notes about the workflow
  • Whether the card was downloaded, printed, or used only as a mockup

Example format:

Custom Commander Rule 0 Card
Template: [template name]
Use: Casual Commander playgroup
Notes: Designed as a clearly unofficial card for a private game.

Token or Helper Card
Template: [template name]
Use: Token, emblem, reminder, or helper card
Notes: Created to make casual gameplay easier to track.

Custom Set Concept
Template: [template name]
Use: Personal custom set project
Notes: Designed for layout testing, wording practice, or private play.

Customer Comments

Use this section for real customer or user comments.

Only publish comments that are genuine. Do not invent reviews, inflate ratings, or edit quotes in a way that changes their meaning.

Suggested format:

“[Customer quote here.]”

Project type: [custom card, token, playtest card, print list, template use, etc.]
Source: [email, support message, public review, social post, etc.]
Date: [month/year]

If a comment was shortened for clarity, say so. If a customer gave permission to use their name or project, include only the information they approved.

Screenshots and Workflow Proof

Screenshots are useful because they help users understand the actual experience.

Good screenshots to include:

  • Card maker interface
  • Template selection
  • Card preview
  • Print-list tool
  • Download step
  • Example card output
  • Before-and-after layout changes
  • Common formatting examples

When adding screenshots, include short captions that explain what the user is seeing.

Example:

Card Maker Preview
This screenshot shows the card preview area after a user adds a card name, mana cost, type line, rules text, and artwork.

Print a Card List Tool
This screenshot shows how a pasted card list is processed before moving into a download or print workflow.

Third-Party Proof

If MTG.cards receives public reviews, mentions, videos, forum comments, social posts, or other third-party references, add them here.

For each public proof item, include:

  • Source name
  • Date
  • Short summary
  • Link, if available
  • Screenshot or transcript excerpt, if useful and allowed

Transcripts and summaries make reviews easier for both people and search engines to understand. If a video review is added, include a short written summary of what the reviewer covered.

Do not quote more than necessary. Summarize fairly and link to the original source where possible.

What We Do Not Claim

MTG.cards does not claim that cards created through the site are official Magic cards, authentic Magic cards, tournament-legal cards, sanctioned-event cards, or Wizards-approved products.

We also do not claim that printed cards will feel identical to official cards. Materials, finishes, color, thickness, texture, and cutting can vary depending on the print workflow or fulfillment provider.

The goal of MTG.cards is to make custom, casual, and creative card projects easier to design and prepare, not to create cards that deceive people about authenticity.

Review Standards

When we publish reviews or proof, we try to follow these standards:

  • Use real comments from real users
  • Do not invent reviews
  • Do not change the meaning of customer quotes
  • Clearly identify sponsored or affiliated mentions, if any
  • Remove private information before publishing
  • Avoid misleading claims about legality, authenticity, or official status
  • Include practical context where helpful
  • Correct or remove proof that becomes outdated or inaccurate

If a review mentions a print order handled by PrintMTG.com or another fulfillment provider, we try to make that role clear.
